Having grown up in a small town, organized sports, two brothers and too many cousins to count, activity was never tough to come by. The 15 pounds I found after school ended, alright 20 pounds, along with a boating accident that left me with a lower back injury, lead me to get serious about my fitness. What began as an attempt to strengthen and have less weight impacting my injury, lead me to a pursuit of aesthetics. It was in discovering OrangeTheory that I realized, while my exterior was strong, my heart, and my interior needed the attention, and believe me that was not an easy transition. It’s still a day to day process, however, my focus has shifted from what it looks like to how it feels. I am convinced that the sooner we’re able to shed the ego, the quicker we’re able to be successful. Letting go of the idea of what the body should be and instead appreciating what it becomes from treating it well, in and out of the studio. It’s such an honour to help others break down their barriers, to witness those little pieces we leave behind after each workout, mentally and physically. I love recognizing what each member needs as motivation to reach their goals, not everyone appreciates a spit flying verbal kick in the ass, some need that quiet one on one chat, perhaps just a look in the eye, or a hand on the shoulder. Many just need someone to believe in them, to encourage them on the days that take all they have, to remind them that it’s not always an epic battle, but some days are simply moving the body, because the body needs it.

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.

Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
